Cici and Hyatt Brown have long believed in the power of art, history, and science to educate, inspire, and unite. Involved with the Museum of Arts & Sciences, now known as The Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, Science & History, since the early 1970s, their visionary leadership and extraordinary generosity have transformed that belief into a living legacy—one that continues to shape the Museum’s evolution and its impact for generations to come.

Their contributions over the decades have been nothing short of transformational. From the creation of the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art—home to the largest collection of Florida-themed art in the world—to their continued support of exhibitions and educational programs, the Browns have redefined what it means to be stewards of culture. Their giving has enabled The Brown to expand its mission, elevate its offerings, and become a place where stories of the past ignite curiosity for the future.

In 2024, the Browns made history once again with a $150 million gift to The Brown—the largest cultural donation in Florida’s history. This landmark investment will power the Museum’s long-term sustainability, support the creation of a bold new campus vision, and help bring to life a reimagined museum experience. With part of the gift allocated as an endowment and part directed toward capital development, the Browns are ensuring that The Brown can grow thoughtfully while remaining accessible to all.

As Hyatt Brown shared in public remarks, the purpose of the gift is simple yet profound: “We wanted to make a permanent institution that will educate and inspire people in the areas of science, art and history.” That commitment has guided every aspect of their giving—and continues to drive the Museum’s future.

But beyond the buildings and collections, what truly sets Cici and Hyatt apart is their unwavering dedication to community. They have invested not just resources, but heart and vision, ensuring The Brown remains a place where people of all ages can explore, connect, and grow.

As we look to the future, we do so on the strong foundation built by Cici and Hyatt Brown. Their legacy is not only visible in the galleries—but felt in every visitor’s experience, every student’s curiosity sparked, and every moment of inspiration. Their generosity is shaping not only the future of The Brown, but the cultural landscape of Central Florida.

Thank you, Cici and Hyatt, for your extraordinary vision, enduring support, and the profound impact you’ve made on generations past, present, and future.
