New Name, New Brand,
and Visionary Plans
for Our Future Campus
Around the world, the most iconic museums are known by names that carry legacy, vision, and cultural power. The Guggenheim. The Getty. The Pérez. These institutions were once known by entirely different names, but, over time, their identities evolved to reflect the transformational philanthropy and bold futures that shaped them.
On December 1, the Museum of Arts & Sciences (MOAS) stepped into that same tradition. In a historic announcement before donors, civic leaders, and community partners, the museum revealed its new name — The Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, Science & History, also known as The Brown — marking the beginning of a transformational new era for one of Florida’s most significant cultural institutions.
The Concept

The concept of our new brand begins with the frame—a symbol that unifies art, science, and history by providing focus, context, and perspective.

Color Pallete and Color Usage
The Brown’s logo remains black and white, and any color is introduced through the images or content around it. This approach keeps the logo flexible and lets the surrounding visuals set the tone.

Depending on the exhibition and its highlight image, multiple colors can be extracted from the artwork to then be used alongside the black and white logo.

Use of Imagery Within the Frame
The Brown logo is sturdy and clean. To introduce a more playful or dynamic quality, the frame within the logo can be used to highlight and aspect of an exhibit or collection.

Our New Look
As The Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art, Science & History takes shape, we enter a bold new era defined by vision, community, and possibility. We look forward to embarking on this journey with you as our new identity comes to life.
